Peter Mullan The Courts Service

Peter Mullan is Assistant Secretary, Circuit and District Court Operations Directorate with Courts Service.

He has held this role since July 2018. His responsibilities include operational responsibility for all Circuit and District Operations and head up a team preparing implications for Courts and Court offices of the commencement of the provisions Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act. Prior to this Peter was Assistant Secretary in the Crime and Security Directorate in the Department of Justice and Equality.

He qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and worked in a large criminal defence practice for 16 years before moving to the Office of the DPP where he served as Chief Prosecution Solicitor.
