Aileen Curry is a founding Partner of Curry & Hickey Solicitors, a specialist healthcare law firm.

Aileen was previously employed for 12 years as a Senior Solicitor in the General Solicitors Office for Minors and Wards of Court.

Aileen specialises in deprivation of liberty, the law relating to older persons, Wardship, vulnerable adults and minors and mental health law. Aileen has a particular interest in the Nursing Home Support Scheme.

Aileen regularly appears before the President of the High Court and represents Committees of persons admitted to Wardship and other family members. Aileen is also frequently appointed by the Court as a Guardian Ad Litem to vulnerable persons pending Wardship.

In the course of her work Aileen attends hospitals, nursing homes and psychiatric facilities in Ireland and in the United Kingdom. Aileen also investigates abuse against vulnerable persons and provides reports and recommendations to the Court as appropriate.
