Úna Tighe commenced practice at the Bar in 2000. Her practice areas include commercial and chancery (including banking, insolvency and pensions), taxation (including appearing at tax appeals) and regulatory advice.
In her civil practice, Úna has expertise in matters of procedure, jurisdiction and governing law. Úna also prosecutes on behalf of the Director Public Prosecutions.
Prior to commencing practice as the Bar, Úna worked for some years in the financial services sector, both in private practice with one of the leading Irish law firms and as in-house counsel with a major Irish financial institution.
Úna has acted as a moderator for the Irish Taxation Institute and as a lecturer and examiner for the Law Society of Ireland and the Honorable Society of the King’s Inns.
Úna lectures on commercial law matters and was a contributor to the second edition of Irish Pensions Law and Practice by Finucane, Buggy (with Tighe).
